Im not sure if there is hack already out there for this or not. I really think it is annoying having the Member # showing. If there is one already out can somebody please tell me where to get it.

just delete the call for it from public_topic_page.pl:
$member_number
$member_number

Open
"public_topic_page.pl"
Search for "Show" it will compe up twice the second time it will show up as "Show login username"
A few lines down it will say "$Show_member#" or something like that.
Just delete it, save & upload.

I wrote a CP hack for member number. it that hack allow you toggle that off and on.
just look in the database.
