I have UBB running on Win2k and IIS5.0
Currently, the traffic log analysis is inconsistent with the "page views" listed on the default admin page.

I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to accurately measure traffic to the UBB boards. I was hoping to get more specific information, such as page views and user sessions for each individual forum, not just a blanket stat for the whole UBB.

If there's a hack, or if someone could tell me which files/dirs I should not log so that the logs more accurately reflect the true traffic.

One last note, My webserver logs analysis seems to indicate a four fold increase in pageviews as compared to the stat on the default UBB admin page.

Any help would be great.

Moving to mod ideas & suggestions...

Since it got moved here I don't think there is a hack for it but it would be a good mod idea though. Would it use SSI for the page views and stuff like that?

Uh, Its not really a mod idea or suggestion jeologic.

I am confused and curious as to how to keep track of the page views/user sessions for UBB given that all pages are requested through the Ultimatebb.cgi script, the page caching, etc.

I wasn't looking for a mod that would do this, just some advice on analyzing logs and some insight as to how accurate those logs are.

Thanks!

ospensky,

Did you ever receive any advice on analyzing log files?

ospensky hasn't posted in 3 years, I doubt you'll get an answer from him.
