I think this would be great to have a pop up, on the forum home when a Buddy is online and when you have a new PM?

Yeah this should be easy. A good addon for those PM notifcation hacks.

i'd like to see this a lot, also.

phpbb has this. tis a great idea.

it sounds faairly easy to make, but i tried last night and found out i had no idea what i was doing.
