Is there a way to require a user to be logged in before they can see the content of a forum?

Failing that is there a way to automaticaly add a new registration to a private forum?

you cannot restrict viewpermission to members only.

the only to have automatic registration to a private forum is whith a password protected forum (once they enter the password they will be added tothe allow group)
