I am using 6.7.2 and was wondering what file needs to be modified to change the 11 stock graemlins. For example ... the first graemlin is smile.gif I believe. I want to put another graemlin in that place that doe not represent a smile. I know I can just change that new graemlin image to smile.gif and just replace the stock one but this would still be great information to know how to do for those anal retentive people who want to change a graemlin to the appropiate file name.

You can do this right from the control panel - General, Graemlins tab. smile

Actually it says you cannot modify the stock graemlins. I want to remove the stock ones and replace them with new gifs. The only way around this is to actually rename my new gifs the same names as the stock ones and upload over them.

You should be able to change the filenames used there - that's why there are text boxes with the filenames in the first place. Is this not working?

You could either change the filename in the "file" field, or just over-write them in your noncgi directory
