New board: IXGZ forums. (ad) I need feedback before I open it. The site is just a forum right now for temporary. The site is in creation. Don't worry about the header, its not for stay. I need feedback on the color and all.

That's an awful lot of forums for no more members than you have. If you already know the site will be populated when you make it public, that's fine. But IMHO it's kinda a waste of space if only you and 8 of your friends know about it.

The colors are nice. People say that grey is overused, but I happen to like it. Only color I see that I don't like is the weird yellow lightbulb.

I said "before I open it" so there are no members. I like gray myself too. The lightbulb was they only think that really set in with the gray. And it dont waste that much space.

I like your boards alot. The colors really flow. I like the light grey alot. Keep it up[Good Work].

The forums were changed a bit now. Need peoples opinion.

Looks pretty good. You need to get off Grey since too many forums use it. Also you have too many forums, Try to lessen the amount until you get more members.

My advice is, keep the grey. My opinion is that many people do overuse the grey and often mess it up, but that's not the case here, your in the top percentage, that is, it actually looks nice on your boards.

Overall, I think you've done a superb job with your forums, keep it up...

The Admin has opened the forums oficially today, right now. So if you can - please sign up. Posting rights are enabled, so all members will be able to post now!

ummm... is it just me or is the infopop copyright supposed to be a link and not just text?

Also, you header looks alot like the one found at zeldaglitches, and your footer with the six cells on ur public_topic_page.pl is the same as Tech-Ni-Kal's @ stonecrick.com

UBB 6.04a didnt have the copyright as a link...atleast i dont think it did..im not sure.....but anyone is free to correct me

Supposedly there is an email or post or something from Ted/Brett that says you are allowed to remove the link as long as the wording doesn't change. However I have yet to see it for myself, so I'm skeptical. As such, unless you've seen the post and know what you've done is legal (and can point me to the post as well), I'd highly recommend replacing the link.

The footer looks pretty close. You just changed what is in there and where the colors are.


Although everyone has that header so who knows who had it first. I think it was Jigga-Master. Then I asked to use it from him and he said he didn't care he was switching to VB. Then I noticed everyone started getting it after I implented it but at least everyone has something different in theirs so it gives a little originality.

I have NOT seen an email and if there was one sent. I am sure everyone would have gotten one or it would be shown in the UBB Members area about the link being able to be modified.


I haven't seen any post regarding that you can change the link. But if you want to your choice. You will just not be able to get alot of help. Plus whats it hurt to have a link there or not?

About the header: The header is from the compact headers and all. Then the main buttons lined was changed to images so thats why it looks similar. The tect did not look right.

The footer: Never been to stonekrick (?). The idea was to put every text into tables.

The Copyright INFO Link: UBB 6.04a never came with a link, and we did not change the copyright information. But we can put a link on there...

If anyone is affended with the layout of the page we might be able to change it.

No it is fine about the tables thing I don't care I was just saying .. Everyone can have it. I just don't want to have no chance in Member Spotlight cause people use my designs.

Quite honestly, there really isn't much you can do about it. If he did in fact steal the header graphic as you said in the other thread, and you owned the copyright to that graphic, you could probably email his host and say he's illegally using copyrighted documents. They will either tell him to remove the file or do it themselves.

But about just the color scheme, there's really not much you can do.

Please don't turn this into another fighting thread or I'll have to close it as well.
