"The inevitable has happened: The Beatles have sued Steve Jobs over Apple iTunes and the Apple iPod -- at least the band's company, Apple Corps., has sued Apple Computers. [...]

When Apple Computers first came into existence, the Beatles' lawyers sued -- and won -- over the use of the corporate name. The Fab Four, it was widely known, already had their own company called Apple Corps. (Ironically, Jobs admitted to naming his company as a tribute to the Beatles.) The result of the suit was a huge cash settlement and a promise that the Apple logo and name would only be used for computers -- and never for a music company."

I don't know anymore.. I'm beginning to hate the music industry; all you hear about lately is suing suing suing, money, money, money. Anything for the fans and music supporters? not really.
There is a big special called "Music Wars" Friday on TechTV starting at 8PM. It'll begin with an hour long documentary on RIAA, Record Companies and File Sharing. Then Leo and Michaela will host a 90 minute "Town Hall Meeting" type of thing - all sides of the issue should be represented - LIVE. They are trying to get RIAA to participate... but they are cooperative.

But I think it'll be internesting to say the least. They will have fileswappers and people who have been sued. They will have artists and record labels.

I think I'm going to have to side with The Beatles on this one.
