A buddy of mine got a nasty anonymous email, from Yahoo of course, so I dug through the header and grabbed the user's IP...I ran a tracert on it, and it came back to this:

adsl-76-214-238-82.dsl.emhril.sbcglobal.net

My understanding is, that the portion of the tracert details that has "emhril" is usually a physical location of that server, correct? If that's the case, anyone know what/where "emhril" is? I'm guessing it's something Illinois, but...??

Any and all help appreciated!

There's lots of info in a google search for it, tho if he's wanting specific location he'll probably need to contact sbc.

The ISP is the onlyone who would be able to actually *track* someone, so you should send your abuse reports (and forwarded copies of the emails) to their abuse department.
