They weren't that good at browsers in the first place...;)

They may stop producing it, but people will keep using it for years, so webdesigners, don't breate a sigh of relief yet.....

Everyone seems to misread the story.

They are not terminating Navigator, they're simply no longer making it their flagship product.

It will be around forever in the form of Mozilla, which will be the most standards-compliant browser on the market when it's 1.0.

Once it's in 1.0, and IE6 is out of beta, web developers can start actually doing the Right Thing rather than having to script and code for IE and Netscape properly. (IE6 and Mozilla render ~99.9% the same when both are operating in strict mode...)

"BTW, not to many people use Netscape anyways."

DJ take a look at your logs my friend. Though the percentage may be small that is still a heck of a lot of people. Even if it is as small as 2%, 2% of 100k unique visitors is how many? If my math is right that is still 2k users. And I bet the number is more then 2%.

Besides, I use Netscape laugh
