Having done some research since being told that I could not sell (or "assign") my UBB license, I have found that such terms which represent "Exclusions of the consumers right to assign" - are normally regarded as "unfair contract terms" in the UK.

This means that the UK's Unfair Contract Terms Act would make them unenforceable. The Government office of fair trading can require them to be changed. I expect other countries may have similar laws protecting consumer's rights.

James, as I study law in England, I can tell you that you are in fact correct. However, there are ways of getting round this, legally. PM me if you want any more info smile
Please contact rosemary@infopop.com with your license questions and cocnerns.

This is not an appropriate place to bring this subject up.
