yes, alternate templates will be included - we'll be developing some of our own, so we haven't turned that part on smile

If we were ever to do something like that, it would be a major version number bump, i.e. 7.0.

I believe some people are readying a mysql port of certain ubb versions already - tho you didn't hear it from me tipsy

Actually, our plans for 7.0 are way up in the air at the moment. There are so many possibilities that we need to explore before we decide what should be done...

We currently have no plans to create an official port of UBB to any RDBMS.
