I want to install the Threads trial on our server. We have the basics (MySQL, PHP). I just want to make sure it can coexist with Classic, get the config down, etc assuming of course no knucklehead imports Classic into Threads.

I want to get a feel for it before we make an upgrade decision; and I just want to verify there'll be no problem running both of them for a while.

Yeah, they can co-exist just fine. As far as backends go, they have nothing in common, they don't share information back-and-forth, nothing like that (afaik), they're completely separate applications. I've got the full Classic and the Threads demo installed and running just fine on my localhost testbed.
