MovableType is the way to go then. You download it and install it to a webserver. If you don't have a web host check out our Web Hosting forum for recommendations.

I like that pmachine's functions... I wonder if it can be integrated with forum software...

I have the member functions turned off since I don't feel like moderating another place but it seems to be pretty robust. The Pro version has multiple blog-ability.
