I get 1 ro0e instead of the date here - any ideas?

Update your profile, Ian... Just remember to set your time and date settings inside your profile to "normal" (ie. British) format

anyhow yeah.. "ro0e" is because your chosen style set was probably rose, and "s" as second was replaced with 0... (because there are no seconds in the ubb)
