Hello. I have just downloaded MultiHack (and am using it successfully), but I wrongly specified my output folder to be My Documents instead of My Documentsubboutput. Needless to say, MultiHack deleted all of my documents, for which I have no back-up. If I do not sound distressed, I can assure you that I am, and any help or ideas on the recovery of these files would be most appreciated. My e-mail, [email protected]

Myself, I believe that if you're going to have a program capable of deleting anything it should use the windows recyclebin smirk...

You have a few, limited choicese:
1. Power down your computer, take out the hard drive (don't delete anything, don't install anything, don't do anything). Install "Undelete Plus" or another undelete program (most come with a trial period) and then power down that machine and install the hard drive from another machine as a slave harddrive and boot back up and run the undelete program on the drive from the other machine.
2. Install undelete on your computer (without doing the other steps) and preform the undelete process on that drive.

Note that step #1 is best and most reccommended as anything you install carries the chance of overwriting the space where your My Documents folder was.

Hi Elliot. Just to reiterate what Gizzy has already said. Panic NOT! You CAN completely recover your lost date AS LONG as you keep HDD activity to an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM. I used to recover data for a living, and would be happy to tutor you through the process should you be unable to follow the above instructions.
