Topic: Photoshop 6 Tutorial: Basic Feathering by Daniel

Basic Feathering

-----------------------

Step 1.

Open up two images. Any two of your choice.

Step 2.

Then, using the Move Tool, drag the second image ontop of the first. Your first image will now have two layers. The second image is the file which is ontop.

Step 3.

Using the Rectangle Marquee Tool, create a rectangle from the top of the image, to the bottom.

Step 4.

Make sure that the top layer is selected. Then go to

Select > Feather

Type in 20 as the Feather Radius.

Step 5.

Hit Backspace on your keyboard until you are happy with the feather. It should only take about 2-4 times.

This is your final product.

Other Comments.

Feel free to adjust the feather radius, as well as the way you use the marquee tool.
