hmm.... I have to upgrade from 3.9Qa, made the changes in ubb_forum_summary.cgi and copied the ultimatebb_whos_online_install.cgi to my ubb cgi directory.
I chmod my UBB CGI directory, Templates and NonCGI as 777.
now i started the ..install.cgi and selected "install templates" (as mentioned in the upgrade.txt)
Previous version of Who's Online detected. Once this install is finish, plus update your Who's Online Variables to finish your upgrade.
Result: Install Complete. Thank you for installing/upgarding Who's Online! Head to your UBB's control panel to set your Who's Online Settings and to clear your cache to finalize your installation of Who's Online!
---- fine. after clearing the cache the ubb cp always reports the old version number and after taking a closer look to the three files: cp_vars_whos_online.pl ubb_whos_online.cgi cp_whos_online.cgi
they never have been changed by the install script ! the only thing the ...install.cgi has done on my server is to make an directory "WOLBackup" (with "public" username:(( and copied the three files there. great work, now I cannot delete the WOLBackup, because I am not the owner via FTP.
I now browsed the ...install.cgi for the sections replacing the code in the three files and replaced in manually.
hopefully, this is not an bug and my webservers is responsible for this... moreover, please include an manual install in the next version, it´s better for me to see who and what is changing.
