I suspect you missed a step somewhere or perhaps got an older version of the hack because it works fine on my board. Posts in the hidden forums don't show up on my Daily Active Topics or in the Hop To section.
My only wish for the hack is to be able to display the catagory/forum on the summary page for those who have access to it. Otherwise you have to remind yourself to check for new posts. I know there's another hack that does this but apparantly there are still some issues with that one. Many many thanks for this hack though
