Perhaps we should have a php primer over here, and some common command conversions

For example:
perl:
$something =~ s/this/that/g;

php:
$something = ereg_replace("this", "that", $something);

and

perl:
$something =~ s/this/that/gi;

php:
$something = eregi_replace("this", "that", $something);

as well as

perl:
$something =~ s/this(.*)/that$1/gi;

php:
$something = eregi_replace("this(.*)", "that\\1", $something);
