What I'll probably do in the future is make this a plug-in, rather than a hack. The difference being the function code that presently exists for includenews2 inside the w3t.pm (or main.inc.php on the php side) will be in an sk.pm (or sk.inc.php) file so that when you upgrade, all that will be required to keep current with the newsflash feature will be to replace the sk::includenews() (or php equivalent) inside the wwwthreads.pl and postlist.pl screens.
What I'd like to do is start utilizing Hercules' hack wizard but haven't explored the possibilities with this program yet. []/testimages/icons/wink.gif[/]
