With showallgroupdates set to 1....I get the same view as I get with #2 above (with showallgroupdates set to zero).
$adminmodshow = '1';
$groupshow = '1';
$showallgroupdates = '1';
$birthdayshow = '0';
This gives me view #2 from above...so I didn't see a visible change.
