Das ist bei Avataren so, die per Url eingebunden werden und nicht über die Upload-Funktion.
Der Grund ist, dass man nicht so ohne weiteres herausfinden kann, wie groß das Bild ist, wenn es auf einem anderen Server liegt (möglich ist es aber).
Du könntest aus den Templates einfach die Höhen- und Breitenangaben aus dem image-Tag löschen, dann werden alle in der Originalgröße angezeigt. Aber eben auch die, die 500x500px sind.
