Great ideas all around about the log-in features. Personally, I would like to have a log-in on the front end of my site that would recognize existing member and customize content based on his/her preferences. I had gotten it started, but was unable to figure out how to get the log-in script to return an entire page worth of data.
Go to
http://staging.stupidboy.com - you can log-in with user name: beta password: tester
After you log-in, you'll see that it takes you to a plain white page with nothing on it except for a few links. I have tried to put an entire html page's contents into this return script, but it just gave terrible errors.
What if a pop-up box were used to log-in from the front end of a site? The pop-up boxes opens, then enter username/passwd, it closes and refreshes the parent page? I have half of this down in theory, but am lacking in the cookie function needed. help?
