OK I don't even think I have to do this much for my needs. I want to take the first 500 - 750 threads, i.e., 00000001.cgi - 00000750.cgi, and put them into a read-only "archive" area. Reason is, is that we have so many threads on 1 forum that the search for that forum doesn't even work! CC thinks it's because we have too many topics...

So I'd "cut" the 00000001.cgi - 00000750.cgi files out and "paste" them into a newly created forum "archive" and run update stats on both forums. But does it matter at all now that the edited forum will be missing threads 00000001.cgi - 00000750.cgi?
