Yeah you should buy Quake 3 its tons of fun. It's great to play multiplayer if you have a cable connection or higher, but if you use a 56k or lower, there's gonna be tons of laggin in your gameplay.
Playing Quake 3 will be harder with a joystick, cause chances are there aren't enough keys for the main moves. The keyboard is the best weapon for quaking if ya ask me!
