I'm no angel, but...
"I pirate it because it costs so much." is one of the worst excuses I have ever heard.
#1, if you NEED the software, chances are you can afford it, due to needing it for business purposes or the like that will earn you a return.
#2, chances are you WANT the software, because you want that neat lens flare your friend uses all the time.
Just because you want something and its more expensive than you can afford, does not mean that you somehow deserve it because you WANT it.
I want a nicer car than I own... mind if I just take yours? You will pipe down and not tell the cops and say "Well, he WANTED it, so he should have it!"... I think not.
Don't try and use the "It's software, they still have a copy and don't lose anything!" excuse either... Gimme 500 bucks, because I want it...
Like I said I'm no angel, but I call it like I see it. Don't try and justify your faults, it just looks weak.
