In win2k/xp, does perl need to be running as a service? (dont think so, but making sure)
How would I do permissions on the files? The only options in win2k/xp are read-only, hidden, archive. (btw, I foolishly ain't running NTFS if that does anything for perms) tia
Nope, Perl doesn't run as a service.
You'll need to change your filesystem to NTFS for the "extended" permission settings. But, it isn't required.
