Yabb also has a creator who asked questions in his own forum like "hey I put this bit of code into the script [whatever the code was, here] and now it seems to work ok, but can someone explain to me exactly what this piece of code means?" and others on the development team who I've seen stating that they don't know perl very well but are learning, and then go on to ask very basic perl questions so that they can get code they're working on to work for inclusion in yabb.
Sorry, but that's not the programming team *I* would want working on something that would run on my server.
Now granted, I saw that about a year ago on their forums, and I haven't visited there since so things may have improved, but who knows?
That's my opinion, YMMV.
And incidently, the 1.x version of the script I had seen was loaded with huge security holes. For their users' sake, I hope that was fixed. Though I do recall Andy, for the brief time he was on the dev team there, telling me that he was trying to push along the information about the security holes, and they didn't do anything about it...
