I already posted this at ubbhacker.com but that site seems to be somehow dead.
Many people asked for it (including myself) but I could not find an answer nowhere... infopop, ubbhackers oder ubbdev, nothing. So I studied the scripts... I think all the scripts are able to handle more than 4 mods already, you just have to extend the mods.file entries, right?!? What is it I am overseeing? - this can't be true that it is that easy!
ah, yeah, only thing is cpanel.cgi which holds the form to submit changes to the mods in the control-panel. search for my ($Mod1, $Mod2, $Mod3, $Mod4) = split(/||^||/, $Moderator); and change it to: my ($Mod1, $Mod2, $Mod3, $Mod4, $Mod5, $Mod6) = split(/||^||/, $Moderator);
and right below that: after
add:
... and you have 6 mods available...
...
(I know there must be something goinng wrong, but it seems to work...)

The only thing that really restricts more than 4 moderators is the form in the admin panel. What you did should work, though it probably needs to be parsed and a line to print them to the proper file needs to be added.
but that is exactly what is done by the modifcations of the cpanel.cgi I posted. ... no more modifications needed - only if you want to have more than 6 Moderators you have to extend the list of course.
