Hello to all,
I have been programming in PERL for a while and have been working on creating my own mailing list application so that people can sign up for a mailing list, and I can in turn send out a newsletter. Up till a month of so ago my application was running great and when I would send out an email newsletter the text looked exactly the way I wanted it to.
Recently I have moved my mailing list application to a new server that is running Red Hat Linux 7.0 and have noticed some strange anomalies in the way that the text is being parsed. The most notably is that in the newsletter I am sending out the text will break off with an exclamation mark and start a new line. In other words, if I have a paragraph of text that is greater than a certain number of characters the text is broken off with an exclamation mark and continued on to the next line. Here is what it looks like:
Has anyone else experience this problem or have any idea what I am talking about? Just so that you know that I am not crazy or that it is my programming I have installed another mailing list application called Subscribe me light from CGIscriptcenter.com, and I got the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
