I'm been having an e-mail related problem with my UBB lately that I hope some of you can shed some light on. First, the basic info... running 5.47a on a Unix server. Board can be found
here .
About 2 months ago, I believe my host did some changes to their configuration (maybe updated version of Perl or something) that started impacting the mail features on my UBB. In short, now whenever I get an e-mail generated by the UBB, such as a post notification, there seems to be additional spaces between paragraphs. Maybe there's a parsing issue? So what should be just one blank line between paragraphs in a message is now something like 2 or 3.
This change hasn't just affected my UBB. It has also has wrecked havoc with a Perl-based e-mail newsletter script that I am running on the server. The spacing gets all thrown off when received by certain e-mail systems. Before this assumed change by my host, I had no problems.
What I'm asking is for some advice about what I should be asking my host regarding troubleshooting this problem, or even such direct advice regarding what may be causing this? Can this be an issue with the version of Perl, or Linux, or something like that? Can anyone else encountered a similar situation.
Any additional help and suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.
