I wanted to know; Is there going to be a hacking tutorial, so I can learn hacking the UBB my own? Maybe it is usefull to display all the variables used, and so... Just tell me if it is no good idea, but I thougt, it was pretty handy

There will surely be both hacking tutorials AND Perl tutorials.
You really, really should learn Perl before beginning to hack.

To extend what CC is telling you (or what i think he should tell you): Yes, ofcourse we will make a hacking tutorial. But knowledge of functions used in UBB and basic commands is best - not stuff you dont need for UBB, unless you want to learn all the extra stuff. You dont need to be a guru like mark or CC or cal...you dont even need to be slightly moderate/advanced like me, Em8 and some others who come around the forums now and then... So... untill next time!

Read above, I wish I had followed these instructions. I was nuts to go in, hacking my UBB code, without even knowing that I had to put a semi-colon (  at the end of every line. On one hack, a long time ago, I went through and deleted all of them, thinking they were there for appearance. But that was then, and this is now. I admit, I had a problem, but rehab, and some Perl tutorials fixed me up, and I am now rid of my semi-colon deleting ways! if ($user =~/scudmuffin/i) { print qq~h00kd 0m pEarl wOrkeD 4 mE~; } [ February 08, 2001: Message edited by: Scud Muffin ]

I know a little perl, I had some tutorials on the net... But I want to make some changes to the forum my own. Well, it would be helpfull if someone had a list of functions and variables... It would be very nice indeed! Tell me when it is up and running! Thanks!
