i have a who want to be a millionaire script on my site. a file is created with it called IP which writes the IP number of everyone who plays so they cant play twice. The problem is that the scores keep resetting and i think it has something to do with the IP file. Is there any ch mod thing i can do to maybe prevent the resetting of the scores? The guy who made the script says it a problem and is trying to fix it but i wanted to experiment with trying to fix it. The reason i thought it may have to do with the IP file is because for everyone who plays it writes their ip then score and somehow the list keep resetting every once in a while. The guy who made it said that it had something to do with people playing at the same time and trying to write data to it. Well if anyone has any suggestions please tell me

Sounds like the file may be corrupting. Make sure you're locking the file when writing to it.

Also, if you are storing multiple IP's, make sure you are appending the file, not writing over it, as that will erase the previous data.
