depends on which element.

pop, shift, and splice are all at your disposal.

hmmm.. I looked at perl funtions @ perl.com but didnt understand the using of splice()

for example;

if I have "h" as an element in an array @dizi how can I remove element "h"?

or

if @dizi has 20 elements, how can I remove (or delete) the 15th element???

To remove all instances of 'h' from an array:

my @new = grep {!/h/} @dizi;

To remove only the first instance of 'h':

my $found;
for (0..$#dizi) {
if ($dizi[$_] eq 'h') {
$found = $_;
last;
}
}

splice(@dizi, $found, 1);

remove just the 15th element:
splice (@dizi, 14, 1); # index starts at 0, so 15th element is index 14

remove elements 15 to 18:
splice (@dizi, 14, 4); # removes indexes 14, 15, 16, 17
