I kept getting errors when I tried to setup the email feature on my board. So, I did the only logical thing for the time being...disabled it. Although I would really like to have this, I contacted my webhost and this is what they told me. Our mail server does not support relaying. Either the to or the from address has to be a valid one on the server (ie [email protected]). This is our policy to prevent unauthorized users from abusing the mail server with bulk email (spam). According to the site, they are an NT system. I doubt sendmail is on their.
You'll need to write to them and ask what you need to use for their SMTP server, as thier support page and FAQs are utterly useless.
