Doing this would involve writing a cookie and then calling the cookie's content via JavaScript or some other scripting language of choice. Since you'll invariably need to write the cookie before you can call it via a script, I'm gonna move this thread to Perl Programming and CGI Scripts.

As Matt stated, you're going need to cookie this somehow with the actual Javascript reading the cookie to dynamically locate itself on the screen.
