I was doing some editing for my new UBB board and thought it was pretty groovy that Adobe GoLive 5 was opening and editing these file types (.txt, .cgi, and .pl). But much to my surprise, I found out that it was adding line breaks!!! after every real line of code!!!! And if you opened the file again the Blank lines became DOUBLE BLANK LINES all the way down the code!!!
Why does this happen? I believe it is just from opening the files. Not related to a binary ftp upload.
What is a good .cgi and .pl editor?
Thanks in Advance, Daniel

could be saving in pc format and the unix machine doesn't like it. double check the binary upload too though, especially if you have your system set to Auto instead of explictily stating ASCII when you upload

The best editor around, is vi But a good editor for winblows is once called context, its a programmers editor. I recommend you check it out, http://www.fixedsys.com/context/ Cheers
I can't afford a good signature editor
