To open a file, you could try something like this: [code][/code]The real Perl masters can help you out way more than I can, because I'm still just a student of this language.

What, exactly, are you trying to do? Put SSI on CGI? Can't do that without editing httpd.conf or adding stuff to .htaccess.

Im trying to allow ubbnews to be executed in a .cgi page. If you do the includes, of course, you'll get syntaxx errors.
