This might be a stupid stupid question, but how exactly would I use an SSI call on an NT server using MS IIS5, specifically, the calendar 1.4 hack? I'd like to call calendar events on my homepage, but I haven't had any luck at all. Perhaps it's not even possible. If so, I'm a dummy... at least an eager-to-learn dummy.

See my post for the code here .

In a default IIS installation you have to use a .shtml extenstion. If you want to use an SSI command in a .html or .htm page you will need to use an application map.

Jordo, and PeterC, thanks for the replies.

PeterC, I finally found the code you posted. I will take a look at it, and see if I can make it work.

Jordo, I have very limited .shtml experience. Are there any websites that offer tutorials?

Basically, what I want to do, is pull calendar information and post it on my default.htm page. What exactly do I need to do? I don't even know where to begin. Does my default.htm page need to become default.shtml? Is it possible to use VB or C++ in .asp to accomplish the same thing? Is it even possible to combine CGI/SSI with asp? I'm totally clueless, but eager to learn.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.
