UBB.Developers Forums Community Development Programming PHP and Server-side Scripting Read the UBB Config files in PHP?

Hopefully a pretty simple question (quite a newbie to PHP)

I want to be able to read the ubb config files e.g vars_config.cgi, vars_wordlets.cgi etc in PHP so I can use the UBB config in a PHP Script.

So for example I want to take..
with a PHP function.
i.e so I can look at $vars_config[CGIURL] etc
Is there a function to be able to do this?
Shouldn't be too hard to make one, but my brain isn't thinking straight.

This is signifigantly harder than you might think.

Each and every hash written by UBB to disk is formatted slightly differently depending on the version used.

This is why the Accelerator and the rest of the PNTF code have to share data via a flat file rather than the existing data structure...

Hmm, it's UBB 6.05, not really in an hurry to go past there, if at all.

I *think* the only 2 files I need, are the Wordlets and the config, so I can get to the Members dir and the Forums dirs.

Dont need the style template because that is all modified to be handled via CSS.

I haven't looked at the way the CP writes those files, but I suppose I could get it to write a vars_config.php, and then PHP accesses that one instead.
