UBB.Developers Forums UBB.classic V6.4 - 6.7 Modifications Forum Design Integration I need Ideas ... Fast!

I have started the new layout of my UBB. It looks almost identical to the superb Alien Soup Forums Now in an attempt not to be a copy cat or anything I want to do a new one. I was hoping Allen Ayers could extend his tutorial a bit.
Also I don't want a left side bar as a certain UBB site would only get all up tight about it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I was wanting to have my board much like UBB Hackers but I know Cal won't allow it due to him copyrighting the whole HTML tables thing : LOL :-)

But I was hoping you could tell us how to change different elements within the table. Or how do I change the border thickness around the UBB.

you can't copyright a table layout, or a color scheme, and they know it. You just can't use their words, if their words are original to them, or their graphics (ditto). Having said that, you want originality in your site anyway.

Which elements are you talking about? You can add any number of links or graphics inside the tables... I built the tables for this site in fp2k (you can use whatever you are comfortable with) making it look how I wanted it to and then just split the table in 2 to put around the ubb.
You can change the table border thickness by using the tag: border="2" or whatever thickness you want. Is that what you are asking?

LOL :-) I asked for cal's advice on something and showed it in beta version. He said I need to change the layout and design so it doesn't look like his site.

Could you tell me how I would go about taking off profile | register | pref.... at the top without wrecking the code?
