Add your background into the styles section. Place it in your NonCGI dir. I checked your page and saw no mention of background in your ------------------ UBB Layout Designer/Affiliate This message has been edited by C_P on October 08, 2000 at 10:11 PM

Hey, This is how I want it to look.... #CECF9C background then the UBB is in a white table with a white background. That's all I want and the damn thing aint working for me. If you look on any other pages of the site you'll get a better idea of the color scheme that should be on the UBB page too. PLEASE HELP !!! TotalNewbie

C_P I dont think this is a browser issue.
I'm using IE for one and that accepts pretty much any **** .
The problem is is that when I make my bgcolo #CECF9C then behind the pink folders (that what must be 1/4" square) goes #CECF9C because I'm presuming the color is called from the main bgcolor ??!?!?!?!?!!!
That was the only problem I had
Can ya help ????

Hey, Assuming that what I just mentioned is right ~risky~ Which cgi files would I need to change the BGCOLOR for the housing for the images etc. (eg.online.gif, pmdead.gif) to make them #FFFFFF ???? I think that is the only problem. But I'm not sure how many files I am going to need to specify their colors in TotalNewbie

Don't have spell-check working yet... Anyways... What part of the page are you wanting colored? The left column? ------------------ Allen - http://www.stand318.com

Allen,
If you look at the rest of the site the bgcolor used for the whole page is a beige color.
I want the whole ubb pages to have a bgcolor of beige. But the inner table it sits it to be white.
But when I do this (using the style settings - making the bgcolor to be beige) the icons such as pmdead.gif etc. have a beige background.
Spellchecker ?!?!?!?!

The spell-checker comment was about this site... If you specify in your style settings for the background color to be beige, then wherever the ubb files call for the $BGColor (or something like that) eets gonna be beige. You are gonna have quite a bit to edit to change the bgcolors away from beige if you only want little pieces (cells) to still be white around the beige bgcolor. Most likely, those cells do not have a bgcolor specified, so it uses the ubb bgcolor. ------------------ Allen - http://www.stand318.com

Yes that's what I thought (and I had trouble with the spell checker too lol I thought you were talking about my spelling hehehe)
So basically I am going to have to go through (thru) all my cgi files replacing most of the $BGCOLOR's with #FFFFFF then ?????
Woohooo great thats my evening shot lol

Actually, in looking at your other pages, you only have beige around the outside edge, mainly the left column, and far right edge. Is this how you want your ubb? To get the left column beige, you will need to specify the bgcolor in:

Allen, Yep that is how I want my UBB Problem is when I tried what you suggested by putting the color in here ::::
The
below it didn't work and the Home zoomed up to the top, and the table isn't long enough to match the height of the UBB
Good idea though !!

Hey, Would it be "that" hard for me to go through my cgi files changing the $bgcolor to #FFFFFF do you think ???? How many files do you think I'd have to alter and which ones ???? I know which to do on the ultimate.cgi for example. But which other files need editting as I'm assuming Ultimate_lib2.pl needs editting to If anyone else looks at this post I have since changed it back so my boards look reasonably ok. But for a fair idea of what I want - I want to put my UBB's in the bordered white table you'll see by clicking on this link Click Here Thanks, TotalNewbie

Just this second finished updatng my threads lol Thanks for taking a look and all the help I **strangely** fixed it when I started a systematic process of looking at each cgi file and seeing what needed changing to #fffff I got through (thru) my 1st file which was Ultimate.cgi and that "seems" to be all I've needed to have to do. To be honest I had expected to need to update a lot more files than just ultimate.cgi But time will tell and one of my visitors is bound to find something else that needs looking at - isn't it always the way lol Thanks Allen, TotalNewbie
