Ubb German and English using same ubb dir + members?

Can i do this on the same server? wasn't sure if i would get any problems like if some1 posts on the german ubb @ the same time as some1 posting on the english in the same forum..

Thought i'd ask before trying on test server.

If this is possible i would like to use the Yb2ne1's login script as well, what code would i have to do so the logon.cgi can select either german UBb or ENglish ubb?

Thanks for and Info[Linked Image]

It is possible, but aren't they 2 different translations? Wouldn't they need to have their own ubb cgi files? Just askin...

You would need 2 licenses... sharing a single member directory is easy enough, just point both ubb's to the same Members directory.

Yeah what we we're thinking was getting another license the german one, then installing it so it has its own Cgi dir. then it uses the Non-Cgi dir(or the one with all the post's), and it use's the members dir aswell[Linked Image]. I just wondered if both Ubb's using the same Non-Cgi dir, I might have problems when some one post's on 1 then someone else on the other?

Also thought i could let both Ubb's use the same variable_files dir. so the both have the same style setting's as well[Linked Image]

Thanks for Ya help again Allen[Linked Image]

You're welcome... but you are gonna have a world of problems if you let them write to the same ubb directory, I believe, maybe not, since the forum index files are in the ubb non cgi directories.... you might get away with it... pointing to the same members directory is no big deal.. but I would be leery of using the forum files for more than one set of cgi files... tho I don't see yet where it wouldn't work.

ok, that's a definite "maybe"
