hi, could someone help me and describe how i can run a shockwave-movie (.swf) in the title-graphics?

btw, code should work for ubb 5.47b.

I have not used the new UBB6 yet, so I really can't tell ya what to change in the scripts, sorry! Im more used to vB ever since I bought it?

thanx for your help and suggestion. but i have tried that before and it didn't work because the field space for inserting a title-image is limited (at least in 5.47b)and won't allow to insert such a long code.

You will have to do it in the templates. public_common.pl, in your NonCGI/Templates folder, contains the code for your title graphic. Go in there, and insert the code s-n-y-x gave you.

It might be in a few other files, too... can't remember right now. public_forum_page.pl, public_forum_summary.pl, and public_topic_page.pl are the ones that I know it might be in, but you'll have to check them.

just my two cents.... if you add flash to your forum consider the fact that it may be refeshed often. As often as someone changes topic and thread and forum section. Please don't use sound... it will drive your viewers insane.

Yeah, Stilgar made an excellent point. It's kind of like wanting to use a java applet as your title image... it looks great for the first few times you see it, but after awhile it only makes the page load slower.

What you might consider, is making the shockwave only load on the first page, and making a regular image load for all the other pages. Or having a splash page with a cool flash animation.
