Hi, I'm a newbie as you've probably guessed, just bought a new license have a 6.1 now, and first off, I would like to do the following......

Have the edit post, authors homepage etc. buttons in a column on the right instead of top, and show the bottom info (post no. etc.) on the left underneath the public name and custom title etc.

I know this has been done , its probably a hack too, but I'm not sure what to look for, Sorry if I'm wasting your time.

Open up public_topic_page.pl in your NonCGI/Templates directory, and start hacking away. You'll need to know a little HTML, as the modifications you want are not (to my knowledge) a published hack with preset instructions. But just open it up and start playing with things. Best way to learn. That's how I started.

Just be warned that you may end up losing all of your spare time when you do this. Once you start it's hard to stop.
