I dont know the working of activetopic mod but it has a ssi option i think? the ssi format is like that;
forexample... your server must support ssi to use that...

Can this be done without SSI? Maybe using a Java script that pulls the first 4 or 5 hyperlinks from Active.CGI?
I would like to know because I cannot use SSI.

OK, I figured this out. I have created a simple hack to display yoru latest topic on any HTML page, including your front index page without using SSI. Get the hack here: non-SSI News Fader 1.0
