The ; represent the symbol I'm unable to use here.
I used notepad for a long time to edit my index page. but for some reason it won't let me center a certainportion of my index thing! and it resets to it's old state! Like I changed my name about 2 days ago on my index page for the notepad and it changed back to the original name! as well as my other html changes. and, when I use the html code ";center; text area ;/center;" it doesn't center it! This is really confusing and i do need help, I haven't tried rebooting my system yet though. Please help me.

i'm not sure what you want to do here. what exactly are you even referring to? you said you changed your name in notepad, and something about a ; representing a symbol...

hmmm... must be centered, if you dont use any other things such as tables... can you post the code you are talking about?
