How can I place a login or register section on my
web page's home (index) page?

I would like it to look like what you have on your
front page for the UBB Dev email.

Thank you!

Hi! I read through the thread... but it looks
like something for the actual forum page. I was
looking to put it on my web site's index page.
Just a small area [Like your email] that people
can sign into and be redirected into the forums'
first page.

Depending on your version of UBB, for version 5X I use a login hack which which I modified to suit my needs.
Basically all u need to do is draw a form on your main page and put 2 input boxes, then you post that form to the cgi script that logs you in. Quite easy to do.

I can't afford a good signature editor frown

Sigh. I tried pulling the javascript after
$show_logoutt=qq~ and I get 'Forbidden' You are
not authorized to access. I do have an HTAccess
script. But that is just for pictures and vids.

I even tried the ole 'cut-n-paste' of the
code from the actual login page. No dice.

Is there something that I am missing? Thanks for
all the help!
