Boy, I need some help! I need to provide a calculator for determining bowler's handicap on my site. I'm guessing that this could be coded using JavaScript since it's a simple math equation or maybe someone has a better idea.

Bowlers handicap is determined by subtracting a base average from the bowler's average then times the percentage of the handicap.

Example:
Say 220 - 150 = 70 x 90% = 63
220 equals the base, 150 is the person's average, and 90% would be the percentage, 63 is the total handicap.

This calculator would need an input box for the user to enter the base average, the average, and the percentage. Once those are entered by the user the handicap total should be displayed in the another input text box. The base average and the average have a minimum value of "1" and maximum value of "300." The percentage has a minimum of "1%" and a maximum of "999%"

Could anyone help me out by coming up with the code that can do this? I won't be able to pay you anything but I'll happily provide credit and a link to your web site.

What you're asking for is custom programming, which unfortunately, costs mucho dinero (read: lotsa money). If you're willing to pay for something like this, cal does some pretty good work. wink

Like I said in my post, I wouldn't be able to pay anything but could provide free advertising. (The site is very active and receives over 500,000 unique visitors a month.)

I know it's a long shot that someone would do it but I'm being hopeful that someone starting out would create such a script in exchange for the promotion.

Steve, Have you made the rounds of all the java sites out there? Seems there should be something already out there...just takes some looking. I'll have a look as well for you...two people stumbling around MUST be better than one!! LOL

Before posting I made a very thorough search on all the script and code sites and also general searches on goggle. I even took a look at other scripts looking for something I could possibly edit and port over to my needs, however, I didn't have any luck. frown

Thanks for your help!! smile
