OK I really like the way that the ubbdev.com site looks. It has influenced the way in which I have designed my site... (I guess I'm spending too long here!)

I have a very ridge front page at the moment...

http://www.spl.at

So I have designed this...

http://www.jonspage.co.uk/Splat/i1.shtml

Which collapses well with the percentages etc and I think it works well in Ie but it Netscape there are two things I cannot quite get to work very well...

The bgd image in the header does not expand like it does in IE? There must be a small glitch. I cannot see it? help

And the last thing that has been bugging me for around two years is my email login box can you see the way in which it's long and stretched in Netscape!

Any clues?

Thanks in advance for the time and effort...

Jon

You must be referring to NN4, because the page looks the same in Mozilla (NS6) as it does in IE.

However, as you can see here , the background attribute is not valid, and is also not supported in NN4. I tried the CSS way, but since NN4 has lacking support for CSS, there was no change. I posted the code below in case you were wondering.

As for the text box, there's nothing you can do about that. Let it go--NN4 is five years old now, which puts it on legacy status.

Hey that's great thank you, I think you posted on my old board once! So do you think the advent of AOL switching to Netscape will change the dominance at all?

Yes it's NN4.7

Actually further to my little puzzle, how come it does work on this page then?

http://www.jonspage.co.uk/Splat/banner.htm

It's the bottom banner BTW. wink

I made this page for you to look at, which is pretty much self-explanatory. It's odd that it does work, since it's technically not supposed to, but whatever. wink Just ask if you've got any more questions.
